I have to watch my baby brother everyday this summer yes I’ve given my summer up, but he doesn’t want to mind me like I tell him to pick his toys up out of the living room or he wouldn’t play the playstation2 he said fine I’ll watch tv so I took that away too then he waited for me to clean the living room the said well it’s clean now I can play. waht do I do about him. He contridicks everything I say, if I take something from him he screams and crys till I give in I can’t take this please help me.

you need to talk to your parents about this. it sounds like you’re just a kid, so it’s not your responsibility to teach your brother manners. that’s a parent’s job. there needs to be some system of punishment that is handed down from your parents: like if he doesn’t listen to you, he can’t play playstation or watch tv that day or something. this is a lot more than you should be expected to handle on your own.
first of all you gave it up by giving up your soummer to watch your brother. i know it is to help out your parents but u need to tell your parents what he is doing and if you take something from him and he starts to cry and fall out just go in a room and call your parents and tell them to listen to him and they will ask to talk to him and he probably wont do it again cuz he knowz that u will call your parents and maybe he might listen to you. (GOOD LUCK) cuz i hav a little sister and she is so busy and she cant sit still for 5 minutes so i know how u feel about this cuz u cant be hanging out with your friends because u gotta watch your brother.
He’s figured out that he can manipulate you and he does it. You said when he screams and cries, you give in. Don’t give in – put him in his room and shut the door until he’s done screaming and crying. Do it calmly and do not raise your voice.
As far as helping clean up, perhaps your parents should lay down some chores for him to do and if he doesn’t get them done, then they should be the ones to punish him, not you. That way, that type of thing is not between you two.
It shouldnt be your responsibility to discipline your brother. You need to talk to your mom and dad about it. If he is being too much to handle, then I would not watch him.
