I purchased this toy for my one year old because of its appearance and we have another toy by Tolo that is wonderful. This bird is very funny looking that is undeniable. Each eye rotates independently so it can make silly faces, his neck and feet rotate making clicking sounds, and if his wings are squeezed they squeak a quiet pleasant squeak. The only draw back is the eyes are painted with paint that scratches easily. My son scratched the eyes up in one day by teething on the bird’s head. I feel the paint on the eyes should be able to withstand chewing, that is what babies do. If not they should have used black plastic for the pupils. Otherwise it is an excellent toy that my baby and I love. For babies pre-teeth this would be perfect. I still think it is a lovely and funny little bird that will win your baby’s heart if you choose to buy one.
Amazon sent me a second bird and the second one scratched just as quickly so it is not just bad luck. Also our second one had red beak and feet and orange wings not like the picture-still just as funny looking though!
I gave four stars because the bird is a hit with my baby, the plastic is very durable, it’s got so many things going on in the bird, it’s a nice sized toy, and he is so unique.
