Both
Both. They like security and remembering a toy. But, they like the stimulation they get when they have a new toy too.
it depends. my son has a couple favourites but usually is more intrigued by something new.
It depends a bit on their age and what they are doing with the toy. For sleepy time and those scary times, kids will usually prefer a familiar toy, like a teddy bear. During awake times different toys often catch their attention more, for a short period of time. But if they’re under six months their perception is different, so you really don’t need to buy a bunch of ‘stuff’. When something moves out of their eye range they think that it no longer exists. After a few moments they forget it did.
mine loves new things but she always loves the most “mr.bunny” which she’s had since birth.
