Our 6 month old loves these cups. Our daycare provider turned us on to them because they are supposed to promote hand-to-hand coordination. Our son loves to hold, study, and analyze them, but most of all – he loves to just bang them together. The bottoms have animal faces (which are fun to push in sand or dough) and they make great bath toys. Though our son is not at an age where he can stack them himself, they’re a toy he’ll be able to enjoy for many years to come.

We bought this toy at a local shop for my daughter’s 1st birthday. The colors in our set are slightly different than that shown. The larger cups have animals on the bottom, and the smaller cups have shapes on the bottom. All the cups have small holes on the bottom for ventilation (and streaming water during bath play).

Our one year old first used it as a bath toy, enjoying the bright colors and the water play. She then began nesting them in the tub. Months later, we moved them out of the tub, so she could nest them on our coffee table. After showing her how to stack them, she became totally engrossed in that activity. She has spent hours stacking and knocking over these cups. We talk about their colors, the shapes/animals on the bottom, what she’s building (towers or mountains), etc. She is 19 months old now, and they are definitely in my list of “must have” baby toys. I’m getting them for my 13 month old niece for Christmas.

I purchased these for my daughter when she was 8 mo old – it was a hit then and a hit now! She’s now 11 mos and still plays with the cups – seriously – every single day. You can nest them (then pull them apart, a fave game), stack a tower and knock it down, learn the colors, and each cup has holes in the bottom (water toy!) and designs on the bottom that imprint in fine sand (beach toys!). The colors are bright and the cups are extremely durable, even for chronic teethers :).

This is a toy that I thought might be stashed for lack of use, like so many other toys that amuse her for a day or two. But I was extremely pleased by the use these are getting, the simplicity of the toy (no blinking or beeping – yay for mommy) and how inexpensive! Great value. One of our best toys.

My 8 month old daughter has not stopped playing with these cups since she got them 1 month ago. I highly recommend them. She bangs the cups together, and enjoys taking 1 cup out of another. I can put toys in the big cups which she will take out. It was refreshing to find a baby toy that she will “play” with, and not just gum or chew! We’ve also used the largest cup in the bath tub. A small toy, they are easy to store. I can see continuing to use these cups as she gets older, and discovers new uses for them.
