He has loved books from day one. it was even his first word!
Thanks!
Aww yay! I’ve been waiting for him to be at this age too so I could use all of my school stuff 🙂
Perfect!
Felt boards are great!
Great tips. Thanks for sharing! I used to love collaborating with the teachers on my teams. So many great ideas to be shared!
I am so excited that Ayden getting to be at an “activity” age! I have so much to share 🙂
Yes. I taught public pre-school for 3 years and Kindergarten for 1 year before I resigned to be a stay at home mom.
Yesss! So true. Thank you!
Thank you!
His first birthday is on the 21st of this month.
I plan on sharing lots of them. I’m so excited that he’s getting to an “activity” age!
I shall pick some up! I tried hot glue and they came off right away, it must not stick to the mod podge very well. Thanks for the tip.
Great idea! I always loved collaborating ideas with other teachers.
Love this!! I’m a toddler teacher and I love seeing other teachers ideas! I think I may do this today but add bigger brown bear pictures to the cookie sheet for the students to match 🙂
Use E6000 as your adhesive to attach the magnets to the stone!! It works amazing!!
Love this idea! Can’t wait to see more.
How cute, how old is your baby?
hes so cute!
I agree! Storyboards are fantastic for children who are ready for creating stories and when they have the dexterity to help with the felt pieces!
This is brilliant! I homeschooled and did this kind of thing for my children’s pre-reading time. Setting books to song (as with IM Going on a bear Hunt, or creating manipulative’s like you have with Brown Bear) I really believe children learn how to appreciate book time, language, art and the human interaction that comes from spending this kind of time with them! Great work!!!
Were you a teacher before ?
Yay! I totally requested toddler activity videos on Facebook! My son also loves brown bear so I’m excited to do this project!
You can buy felt pieces from the dollar store and make the animals and have him or you place the felt animals on a felt board that you can make also, you can put velcro on the pieces for more security when you place it on the board . I have done this to so many stories I’m a preschool teacher so, I enjoy doing it.
We just read that one before bed tonight (well sang it actually). Ava loves it. 🙂 I have larger pieces that I laminated and put a magnet on the back and use them on a cookie sheet when I do outreach storytimes. Love your smaller version! 🙂
