East Bay commissions cover child care costs vetoed from state budget
Monday night brought some relief for families of 1,100 children in Alameda County and 700 in Contra Costa County whose state-subsidized child care was vetoed from the state budget. The two counties’ preschool commissions decided to cover the cost of those services for up to three months.
