MY boys have been getting up between 5am and 5.30am for way too long,throw a new baby into mix and that is a recipe for disaster where sleep deprivation is concerned.
One boy is three and the other is five,so a regular clock wasn’t going to cut it but this traffic light concept works like a charm.Last night was the first night and not wanting to push my luck I set it to ‘go green’ for 6.15am.I woke at five thirty wondering if it was going to work.All was silent in the house,silent I tell you!! No one bothered me until 6.16am!!!! Yay,I am setting it for 6.30 tonight!!
I’ll be honest,it is not the nicest to look at,certainly not our ‘style’ but I don’t care,IT WORKS FOR US!!

My son is almost 4 and had trouble understanding when it was time to get up. since it is dark until 730/8 during the winter months telling him to wait until he sees the sun no longer worked. he was getting up 3 or 4 times a night not sure if it was wake up time or not..the first night with this light and every night since he has stayed in bed when the light is red for bed and gets up when it turns green for go…i highly recoomend this product to parents out there who need the sleep and to teach there kids self discipline..great learning tool..

I bought this for my 21-month-old who had started a pattern of waking up between 5:30 and 6 every morning, crying for mommy and milk. Though she doesn’t remember every morning now that she has to wait for the green light to turn on, she is certainly MUCH better! We remind her every night at bedtime when we turn it on and the light turns red that she needs to stay in her bed and play quietly until she sees the green.

This clock works on my 3 yr old. The first thing I love about it is that even though it lights up it’s not too bright like most night lights are – so we were able to take out her bright night light and just use this clock. We got the girl in the car one and it is adorable. Our daughter had been waking up at 5:30 which is when we wake up to get ready for the day though with her waking up too it was making it very difficult to do things. So the first night we used it we set it to 6:30. 5:30 rolled around and all was quiet from her room. When 6:30 came, her baby sister was already up so she didn’t wake her, and she excitedly called us to her room to see that the light turned green. On the weekend we set it to 7:30 which she’s having a little more difficulty with but I think with time she’ll get use to it because I had just went to her room and told her that the light was still red and she can play in her room quietly until it turned green and she did. We’ve only had it for a week but every night she’s excited to see her light turn red and in the morning she’s really excited her light turns green. It’s like magic. I opted for this light one instead of other ones I’ve seen with say the Monkey’s eyes opening and closing b/c I’ve read the mechanical noise from the eyes opening wakes the child. This light clock doesn’t have that issue. It’s perfect for our family!

Bought this for my 2 and 1/2 year old boy who HAD trouble with nap time. This thing seriously helped us get him to nap- he even says- “When red stay in bed!” which is our little chant around the house. It works great. HE wakes up and it is usually green and he is so excited he just has to tell us. A great investment if you are in the same boat. Oh- when I first got it- i tried putting baterries in and it didn’t turn on- no fear- the manual explained you have to plug it in first!
