I am for it. When people oppose CP they use terms such as slap and hit and beat. They put an image in your head of a teacher bending a student over and slapping them across the back with a horse whip. This is not corporal punishment, it is child abuse and the two should not be mixed up.
All the self parenting books books look at the negative angles and have negative testimonies towards it. None of them have one testimony that it worked efficiently..I feel that is biased.
When you touch a hot stove, it hurts. It burns your hand and it hurts. But I bet you don’t touch that hot stove again? That child learns that when he touches that stove, its going to hurt. So when a child receives a spanking because they did something they weren’t supposed to, they learn that by doing that action inflicts pain on them and they are less likely to do it again. Thats all the detail I can say.

Personally I like it when they punish the sergeants instead. They usually deserve it more than us corporals.
Spanking yes.
But only from parents!
And only as a last resort.
I’m for corpral punishment, which doesn’t fall under child abuse as you stated above but at home not at school. I don’t think any1 at a school should be allowed or could be qualified to correct a student in that form. Just don’t see a teacher or principle the same as a father or mother figure. More of a public authority. Hell not even when your in prison are you allowed to use CP on inmates(lets face it I’m sure it is used, but well it’s not upheld by law)
These kids nowadays are out of control and no where as disciplined as we were as kids. Too much TV, computer, video games and hand held devices have made them live in a world of oblivious.
They do need some smacking around on a occasion, but NOT abusive. I received several smacks in the butt when I was a kid and even a couple of slaps in the face and I didn’t turn out to be a child molester.
These parents today let their kids get away with stuff we would have never ever gotten away with way back then.
yes i am for it for adults but using belts or paddles under controlled situation in the court system drunk driving illegal smoking even unpaid credit card debts if it avoids jail and fines.but everyone must agree and sign a waiver richie302011@aol.com
